Donations

Rochester has a large percentage of economically challenged families who cannot afford enriching experiences for their children. CAA Summer Camp costs $150 per week per child (8:00 a.m. to 5:30 pm.) CAA cannot offer the same financial aid available to larger programs.

Your contribution in any amount will greatly help us include children who desire our camp experience but cannot afford it. Our United Way donor option is #2462.

Supporting CAA
The Community Arts Academy is a non-profit organization built with generous donations of time, money, and talent. We wish to thank everyone who has supported our program throughout the years and made it the success it is today.

Monetary Gifts
Your financial gifts to the Community Arts Academy assure that we can continue providing an enriching program for all children who desire to participate regardless of their financial circumstances. The Community Arts Academy is a 501(c)3 organization. Your donation in any amount is considered a charitable donation and is fully tax-deductible.

Annual Fund Campaign
Begins each November. Our United Way Donor Option is #2462.

Community Partners
Become a Community Partner and provide a child with a "Passport to Diversity" scholarship. Your gift of $500 provides one child with a scholarship for the entire six-week summer program. In addition your corporate logo will appear in our printed materials. For gifts of $1,000, your corporate logo will also appear on our T-shirts.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • A Steering Committee made up of parents, community members, and parish members meets monthly to oversee the activities of the Community Arts Academy. They meet on the Second Tuesday of the Month (excluding December, July and August) and are especially in need of individuals gifted in marketing, grant writing, business management, and human resources.
  • Caring Mentors & Tutors are needed to help children on an individual basis one or more afternoons per week.
  • CAA graduates who have completed 8th grade are welcome.
  • A Handy Person is needed to install shelves and hooks in the offices.
  • Caring individuals are needed to share their talents with the children either through a one-time workshop or on an ongoing basis. Share a craft, help with a kitchen project, read a story, or play games.
  • Drivers are needed to transport children on field trips.
  • Someone gifted in computers is needed for ongoing technical support and to offer the children computer training.
  • Fund-raisers are needed to organize fall and spring fund-raising events.
