Donna Dyer - Director

Donna Dyer is a skilled administrator with a special interest in providing quality programs for children and youth.  She has worked as a counselor and supervisor for various after-school and child care programs in both Rochester and New York City, and she also worked for the New York City Welfare Administration.


MaryAnn Hamilton - Founder & Arts Director

Molly Hamilton has enjoyed working with children for over 30 years.  As well as directing children's cho
irs for many years, she has completed Level 3 certification in the Orff Schulwerk music education method.  Molly developed the Community Arts Academy and its predecessor, the Community Girls Ensemble, to address the need for arts activities for urban students in Rochester.













 








Carolyn Haygood - Dance Director
Carolyn Haygood completed the apprentice program of PUSH Physical Theatre in 2004 and is on the teaching staff of PUSH Pins, the children's division.  Carolyn studied with Garth Fagan for many years and does dance ministry in various churches in the Rochester area. She leads lively dance and creative movement sessions which include body conditioning and free dance as well as traditional dance activities.



Master Charles Flowers, owner of Gold School Unified Tae Kown Do, is an experienced teacher who challenges students to do their best, whether it be self-defense moves, conditioning, or games requiring physical skill. He has competed all over the United States and Canada and has won several Grand Champions as well as the Heavy Weight titles in martial arts. Through the 70's, the 80,s.into the early 90's and into the 2000's he was rated in the top 25 best fighters in the world and the 3rd best fighter of all of Canada.


Sara Scott - Drama & Art Teacher
Sara Scott
leads drama classes as a certified teacher for DramaKids, International. She is a multi-talented person who also leads creative visual art projects, cooking projects, and helps with homework. Sara is a recent graduate of Mansfield State University majoring in voice. She has been a member of the CAA staff since 2006, having worked with summer camp for many years before joining the after-school staff.
